What a beautiful tribute to a father who led with quiet strength and unwavering love. The lessons he left you with, grit, fairness, and heart, are the kind that echo for generations. I hope your Father’s Day is filled with sweet memories and a few good hook shots in his honor.
I used to visit in the summer, when, save for the Denver Bears, not much was happening in the local sports world but I do remember some friendly Jets-Broncos banter. Mostly I remember your Dad’s solidity — a good decent loving man. Oh and I remember his davening each morning — something I hadn’t had exposure to and that was awesome to me.

He would be so proud at the idea of “echo for generations.” Thank you George
Lovely piece. Thanks for sharing!
Very sweet, Jill. Really captured your Dad.
Thanks Danny. You will be one of the few readers who actually knew him :)
I'm sure you experienced his love of sports in one way or another.
