I thought you might have been talking about Hans Christian Andersen's Ugly Duckling or Robert McCloskey's "Make Way For Ducklings" with that tile. But no: something different with a happy ending...
It’s amazing how something as small as a rescued duckling can remind us that caring itself is what makes a moment truly great. Sometimes “good enough” becomes “wonderful” simply because we show up. Thanks Jill for sharing this sweet reminder that goodness is often all we need.
How great is it that people care enough about a stray duckling to, one, report its distress, and two, go to the trouble of getting it out of a drain. Cheers.
That is exactly how my son viewed it, and I eventually did, but I really wanted to know whether the duckling ever met up with its mom. We will never know…

I have a strong preference for happy endings
Likewise.
Great wisdom in generations behind and ahead of you. Thanks for channeling (& sharing.)
Thank you Fran

Good enough really can be wonderful. Thank you George

Since we can't ever know, we're free to imagine a happy resolution for The Lost Duckling ;-)
Jan, thank you for that piece of wisdom, because now I really can close the chapter and imagine a happy ending.
